Privacy Policy
How Al Masria International Elevators collects, uses, shares and protects the personal data you send through this website.
Last updated:
Al Masria International Elevators ("we", "us", "our") respects the privacy of everyone who visits this website and of every customer who contacts us through it. This Privacy Policy sets out what personal data we collect, why we collect it, who receives it, how long we keep it, and the rights you hold over it.
It is written to meet the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 of the Arab Republic of Egypt and its Executive Regulations issued under Ministerial Decree No. 816 of 2025.
This policy applies to this website and to the enquiries you send us through it. It does not apply to any third-party website or service we link to, each of which publishes its own privacy terms.
1Who we are and how to reach us
Al Masria International Elevators is an Egyptian elevator company. We provide elevator installation, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, modernization, emergency repairs, spare parts, service contracts, and inspection and safety services.
For the purposes of the Personal Data Protection Law we are the controller of the personal data described in this policy: we decide the purposes for which it is collected and the way it is used.
You may contact us about anything in this policy through any of the following:
- Email: Info@almasriaelevators.com
- Telephone: +20 11 18417030
- WhatsApp: +20 15 55400024
For a request concerning your personal data we recommend email, because it gives both of us a written record of what was asked and when.
2The personal data we collect
We collect only what we need in order to answer your enquiry and to quote for elevator work. We do not purchase personal data from third parties and we do not build profiles of visitors.
Information you provide in the contact form. The following are required before an enquiry can be sent:
- Your name.
- A telephone number on which we can reach you.
- Your email address.
- The type of building the work concerns.
- The service you need.
- Your message describing the building, the elevator and what you require.
The form also offers optional details. You may leave every one of them blank and still send your enquiry:
- Your company name or the name of the managing agent.
- A WhatsApp number, where it differs from your telephone number.
- The address of the building.
- The number of floors.
- Your preferred contact method — telephone call, WhatsApp or email.
- A preferred date and time for us to contact you.
- Files you choose to attach: building plans, elevator photographs or technical drawings, in PDF, JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC format, up to 10 MB each and a maximum of five files per enquiry.
Information recorded automatically when you submit the form. This is recorded at the moment of submission only, and never simply because you read a page:
- A salted, one-way cryptographic hash of the internet (IP) address the submission arrived from. We do not store the address itself and the hash cannot be reversed back into it; it exists solely so that repeated abusive submissions from one source can be recognised.
- The browser identification string (user agent) your device sends, shortened to at most 500 characters.
- The language of the website — English or Arabic — in which the form was completed, so that we reply in the language you used.
- The date and time of the submission, a reference number generated for your enquiry, and the record of the agreement you gave when you ticked the consent box.
The form also carries two anti-automation checks: a field that is hidden from people and a measure of how long the form was open before it was sent. They are examined at the moment of submission to decide whether a submission is automated, and they are not stored.
We do not ask for, and the form does not collect, any of the categories the law treats as sensitive personal data — such as health, religious, political or biometric data. Please do not include such information in your message or in a file you attach.
3Telephone, WhatsApp and email
Every page of this website shows a floating call button and a floating chat button. The call button opens your own telephone dialler and the chat button opens a WhatsApp conversation with our team. Nothing is sent to us until you place the call or send the message yourself.
When you contact us on WhatsApp, the conversation is carried by the WhatsApp service and is subject to WhatsApp’s own privacy terms in addition to this policy. We use your number and the content of your messages only to answer you and to progress the work you asked about.
When you write to Info@almasriaelevators.com, your email address and the content of your message are handled by our email provider and by us, for the same purposes.
4Why we use your data, and on what legal basis
We use the personal data described above in order to:
- Answer your enquiry and provide the information you asked for.
- Arrange and carry out a site visit at the building.
- Prepare and send you a written quotation.
- Perform any contract for installation, maintenance, modernization, repair, spare parts or inspection that follows from it.
- Keep records of enquiries, quotations and completed work for legal, contractual, warranty, accounting and continuing service reasons.
- Protect this website and our business from abusive, fraudulent and automated submissions.
- Comply with our obligations under Egyptian law.
Our legal basis for processing is your explicit consent, which you give by ticking the agreement box on the contact form before you submit it. Where we go on to carry out work for you, we also process your data because it is necessary to perform the contract between us and to comply with legal obligations that apply to us.
5Who receives your data, and transfers outside Egypt
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
So that an enquiry reaches our team immediately and is not lost, and so that the files you attach are held securely, we use the service providers listed below. Each of them processes the data on our instructions and for no purpose of its own. Each of them stores or processes it on infrastructure located outside the Arab Republic of Egypt:
- Email notification. The details of your enquiry are sent by email to our team’s notification address so that it can be actioned. Delivery is carried out by an email service provider whose infrastructure is located outside Egypt.
- Telegram alert. A message containing the details of your enquiry — your name and contact details, the building details, your message, and the names and sizes of any files you attached — is sent to a private Telegram chat used by our team, so that an urgent enquiry is seen at once. The Telegram messaging service is operated outside Egypt. The files themselves are not sent to Telegram.
- File storage. Files you attach are written to a private Google cloud storage location under a randomly generated name. They are not published on the website and are not reachable from any public address.
We may also disclose personal data where we are required to do so by Egyptian law, by an order of a competent court, or at the lawful request of a competent authority.
Your explicit consent to transfer outside Egypt. Articles 14 and 15 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 require the data subject’s explicit consent before personal data is transferred outside the Arab Republic of Egypt. The agreement box on the contact form is where that consent is given: ticking it and submitting the form is your explicit agreement that the personal data in your enquiry may be transferred to, stored by and processed by the recipients named above, outside Egypt, for the purposes set out in this policy.
If you would prefer not to agree to that transfer, please do not use the form. Call us on +20 11 18417030 or send a WhatsApp message to +20 15 55400024 instead, and we will take your enquiry that way.
6Content loaded from other providers
The typefaces used on this website are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser requests the font files directly from Google when a page opens, which means Google receives your internet (IP) address and basic technical information about the request in order to serve them. No cookie is set by that request and no other information about you is sent.
Our website hosting provider processes technical connection data in order to deliver the site to your browser and to keep it available and secure.
7How long we keep your data
General enquiries. Where an enquiry does not lead to work, we keep it for up to 24 months from our last communication with you. That allows us to pick up a conversation you return to, and to keep a record of what was asked and what was answered.
Records connected to work carried out. Where your enquiry leads to a completed installation, a maintenance contract, a repair, or an ongoing business relationship, the related records are kept for longer — for as long as is necessary for legal, contractual, warranty, accounting and continuing service reasons, and for any period Egyptian law requires us to retain them.
Files you attach are kept for the same period as the enquiry they belong to.
At the end of the applicable period the records are deleted, or anonymised so that they no longer identify you.
8Your rights over your data
The Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 gives you the following rights over the personal data we hold about you. Exercising them costs you nothing:
- To know and to access. To be told whether we hold personal data about you, and to obtain access to it and to information about how it is processed.
- To withdraw your consent. To withdraw, at any time, the consent you gave when you submitted the form — including your consent to the transfer of your data outside Egypt. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it, and it may mean we can no longer progress your enquiry.
- To correct, erase or update. To have inaccurate data corrected, incomplete data completed, out-of-date data updated, and data erased where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it.
- To limit processing to a defined purpose. To require that your data is processed only for a stated purpose, and not for any other.
- To be informed of a breach. To be told of any breach or violation affecting your personal data that would prejudice your rights or interests. We will also notify the competent authority as the law requires.
- To object. To object to the processing of your personal data, or to the results of that processing, where it conflicts with your fundamental rights and freedoms.
How to exercise them. Write to Info@almasriaelevators.com with "Privacy" in the subject line, or call or send a WhatsApp message to the numbers in clause 1. Tell us which right you wish to exercise and give us enough detail to find your record — the reference number shown to you when the form was submitted, which begins "AME-", is the quickest way. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, so that one person’s data is never disclosed to another. We will respond within the period the law allows.
If you believe your personal data has not been handled correctly, you may also complain to the Personal Data Protection Centre established under the Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.
9How we protect your data
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the data we hold:
- The website and the contact form are served over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
- Your internet (IP) address is never stored in its raw form — only a salted, one-way hash of it.
- Files you attach are written to private storage under a randomly generated name, never under the name of the file you uploaded, and are not reachable from any public address.
- Every uploaded file is verified against its actual content rather than the name or type your browser declares, and anything that is not an accepted document or image type is rejected.
- Submissions are rate-limited and screened for automated activity.
- Access to enquiries is restricted to the members of our team who need it in order to respond to you.
No method of transmitting data over the internet or of storing it is completely secure. We take these measures seriously, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10Cookies and information stored in your browser
This website does not currently set any advertising or analytics cookie.
The only information the site stores in your browser today is your choice of language, kept in your browser’s local storage so that the site opens in the language you last chose. It remains on your device, is never sent to us, and identifies no one.
If we later switch on a measurement or advertising service, a cookie notice will appear on the site asking you to accept or decline before any such cookie is set, your choice will be remembered on your device, and declining will prevent the service from loading. This page will be updated to name the service and describe what it collects before it is activated.
You can delete cookies and stored data at any time through your browser settings.
11Analytics and measurement
We do not currently run any website analytics. No analytics or advertising script is loaded by this website and no measurement cookie is placed on your device.
We may in future use website measurement services — for example Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity or Meta Pixel — to understand which pages are read and how visitors reach us. If we do, they will load only after you have accepted them in the cookie notice, and this page will be updated to name the service, what it collects, where it is processed and how long it is retained, before it is activated.
12Automated chat and AI assistants
This website does not operate an automated chat service or an artificial-intelligence assistant. The floating chat button opens a WhatsApp conversation with our team and the floating call button opens your telephone dialler; both put you in contact with a person.
If we later introduce an automated or AI-powered assistant on this website, we will publish in this policy — before it goes live — the name of the provider, what the assistant collects, where the conversation is processed, whether the conversation is used to improve the service, and how long it is retained. Where the law requires it, your explicit consent will be obtained first.
13Children
This website is addressed to building owners, developers, managing agents and businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of eighteen. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to Info@almasriaelevators.com and we will delete it.
14Links to other websites
This website links to services we do not control, including WhatsApp. This policy does not govern them. We are not responsible for their content or their handling of personal data, and we recommend reading their own privacy terms before using them.
15Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services, our service providers or the law change. The date shown at the top of this page is the date of the current version. Where a change materially affects the way your personal data is used, we will make that clear on the website and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent again.
This policy is published in English and in Arabic. The two versions are intended to carry the same meaning; in the event of any discrepancy, the Arabic version prevails.
